Magnum Moulds

The Magnum Association owns the moulds for approximately 20 components of the boat.

If a member needs a replacement part, a fibreglassing professional can be contracted to make the part from the mould. The contract for the work must be between the member and the fibreglassing professional.

The Magnum Association must agree to the selection of the fibreglassing professional to ensure the safety of the moulds. The Magnum Association requests a small percentage of the total cost of the project to cover handling and other overheads.

The Magnum Association will not allow the moulds to be used by anyone other than a professional fibreglasser. Moulds can be permanently damaged if used incorrectly.

Moulds for the following parts are held by the Association:

Anchor well floor; Anchor well hatch lid; Bathroom fore and aft walls x2; Battery boxes x2; Deck keel case cover; Fridge; Fuel tank hatch cover; Keel case walls x2; Keel halves x2; Lazarette hatch cover; Main hatch sliding cover; Main hatch slide in door; Motor hatch cover; Rudder box parts x4; Rudder blade x2; Transom wedge; Water tank for lazarette.

A Storage Register indicates where the moulds are located. Photos of the moulds are shown below. Contact Saxil Tuxen if you need any parts made.
