Think First, Then Move
Before your employees pull out any tools or move any items, ask them to stop and think about how the job will be completed. Are there any turns in the staircase to navigate? Is the next floor too low for the item to clear? You could use a heavy duty stair climbing cart to move a piece of furniture, but check the clearance first. Can you remove any obstacles, such as railings? If so, do that first, and then move the items up.
Wear Gloves

Protect the Items

If they’re delivering a box of items, make sure employees have access to straps to keep them secure. Bumping into walls isn’t uncommon when items are being moved, but if they’re protected, both the load and the wall are less likely to suffer damage. This is especially important for white glove deliveries, where delivery staff are expected to set up the item in question, as they will have to navigate people’s personal belongings.
Use a Stair Climbing Dolly
