Instructional Modules about the Philippines
These Instructional Modules are created by Northern Illinois University students as a result of an 8-week Fulbright Hays Long Term Project in June and July of 2023 and January 2024. The participants were exposed to a wide range of language and cultural experiences and understanding of agricultural and rural life, environmental diversity, climate change and on how farming communities are innovating, developing, sustaining, and creating new ways of doing agriculture.
Additionally, instructional modules created by American students, scholars, educators and curriculum experts from the Philippines were developed during a brief meeting in January 2024, are included in this collection of materials. Topics from this group include the following: Philippine English, Popular and Indigenous cultures in Mindanao and Northern Philippines, Philippine Public Health, US/Philippine History, Filipino Overseas, etc.
