Heusinkveld Pro Pedal

Introduction

At first I wanted to buy the ProSimTech PT2, as they are cheaper and easier to ship from US to Singapore. Also I think they are more adjustable than the Heusinkveld. Sadly they are almost always out of stock.

In the other hand the Heusinkveld Pro Pedals are more durable as they don't use a potentiometer but a load cell for each pedals. Also the clutch mechanism is more simple and offer a great feeling.

Installation

Right away I can't install the pedals on the Playseat. The bars where to install the pedals are 240mm wide, but the mounting brackets for the pro pedals are 204mm , 264mm or 325mm.

To resolve this I'm going to mount them like the Fanatec Pedals on the Wheel stand pro

I ordered aluminium blades 1000x30x3 mm that I cut to the pedals bracket width. Then the seat's tube will be hold between those 2 aluminium blades. Then adding a 3rd bolt in the middle to suppress the bending. Finally adding some felt pads to avoid scratching the floor.

The whole set is moving a little bit when applying the 25 kg to brake but it doesn't affect the driving and it feels very nice.

To rigidify the pedal part, I put 2 straps so when I push the brake pedal, the constraint is on the top of the chassis which prevent the bottom part of the pedal part on the chassis ( the U shaped bars where the pedals are fixed ) to rise up.

I was not happy with the straps, so I analysed what is happening when I press the brake pedal and I feel the pedal tube's mount rising.

Actually only this part is rising.

So I just had to fix it so I can't rotate. So I fixed 2 M6 bolts, with my threading kit. And now it doesn't move anymore when braking, and I can still fold the whole pedal mount to the seat.

I modified the brake pedal with a larger foot pad to be able to use for left and right foot braking.
