My experiential module project in materials design was broken down in two stages (corresponding with two different MAFLT semesters for 2 credits, first, and 3 credits later) to develop materials for my Spanish 2 (stage 1) and Spanish 4 (stage 2) courses.
You can find the specific materials I created for each course under the EM Materials tab.
The initial plan was to develop these materials in connection with the IB program principles; however, because at the time of starting the project, I was not yet officially an employee of the school, I did not have access to the IB curriculum information. The only information shared was a general outline of the 4 learning units, which I used to create materials based on the general theme of the unit.
Under the EM Materials tab you will find a series of folders with worksheets, vocabulary sheets and presentations, readings, and audios that either found online ready to use, created or adapted myself. I have also added an essay where I reflect on the process of completing this first part of my experiential module.
By the time of this stage of the project, I had already been at my new job for several months and had full access to all IB curriculum information. Therefore, the materials I created for my Spanish 4, which corresponds to IB Spanish SL Level I, are specifically aligned with the IB curriculum and test.
Like in stage 1, under the EM Materials tab you will find a document with the specifics of what you will see in each of the of folders with evidence of the materials I put together the course along with the rationale and reflective essay for this part of the project.
