As a student of the NAF Academy, I am required to serve an internship of over 80 hours over the course of my high school experience. I completed my hours as a lifguard/Swim instructor at my local pool, which I currently still work at.

With VAF I worked to keep the public safe at the pool and inform the public on basic water safety. In these roles, I get to share my passion for the water by teaching essential safety skills and ensuring the wellbeing of every patron. The position requires constant focus, responsibility, and clear communication, which have all strengthened my leadership and ability to stay calm under pressure.
