About me
About me
I am a theoretical linguist currently working as a PostDoc researcher in the projects Multifunctionality in Morphology (PIs: Petra Mišmaš, Marko Simonović) and The Behavior of Czech and Slovenian Clitics (PIs: Franc Marušič, Petr Karlík) at the Center for Cognitive Science of Language at the University of Nova Gorica.
My research focuses on topics in formal semantics and syntax as well as their interface, with occasional forays into morphology and formal pragmatics -- and, most recently, also minority languages and multilingualism in border regions.* I completed my PhD at the Department for German Studies and the Department for Slavic Studies at the University of Graz in September 2023. In my dissertation, I investigated so-called Inclusory Constructions in Germanic (German, Icelandic) and Slavic (Torlakian BCMS, Bulgarian) languages.
*The most accurate description of my linguist-self that I ever heard was: A semanticist who does her syntactic homework.
