This project incorporates a complete technical college campus in the rural mountainous village of XinWu. Four buildings all with different programs are designed: Construction & Architecture, Electrical Engineering, Tourism & Trade (business) and Forestry Science, while addressing the traditional Chinese vernacular. The final design incorporates the existing buildings, and adds new structure (the amphitheater / auditorium in the center) is made to give a supplementary traditional feeling. The pond on the west is expanded, and a pagoda is placed. Another important part is the existing ceremonial tree, which becomes a centerpiece for the amphitheater. Underneath the amphitheater is my underground multipurpose auditorium.
