AAU Membership Guidelines

• This event is licensed by the Amateur Athletic Union of the U.S., Inc.

• All participants must have current AAU membership numbers before competition begins (pending status is not acceptable).  Visit www.aauvolleyball.org to obtain membership (club, non-athlete and athlete membership required).

• Membership is not included in the event entry fee.

• BE PREPARED:  Adult and Non-Athlete memberships are not instant and cannot be applied for at the event.  Please allow up to 10 days for membership to be processed.

Grand Prix Tournament Guidelines

• Rules of the AAU National Championships must be followed. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • All participants must meet the age requirements (no age waivers accepted).

  • Boys are not permitted on girls’ teams. Girls are not permitted on boys' teams. 

  • For additional rules, please refer to the AAU Volleyball Handbook.

• The winner in each girls’ age division with 16 or more teams will receive a free entry fee to the AAU National Championships or the AAU Volleyball Festival. The winner in each boys’ age division with 12 or more teams will receive a free entry fee to the AAU National Championships. 

• If less teams participate, the entry fee will be adjusted on a percentage basis per the chart below based on the number of teams that participated in that division. 

• All teams must still register for the AAU National Championships or Volleyball Festival by the appropriate entry deadline. Spots will not be automatically held for winning teams. All teams must follow the entry requirements and policies as outlined in the event information packet. 

• Teams earning a free or discounted entry fee must contact the AAU National Office by July 1st, 2026. If the entry fee has been previously paid, a refund will be issued in the same matter that the entry fee was paid. It is the winning team’s responsibility to contact volleyball@aausports.org to receive their free or discounted entry fee. Refund requests will not be accepted after July 1st, 2026. 

• If the first place team has previously won a Super Regional or Grand Prix or is not attending either the National Championships or the Volleyball Festival, the entry fee will drop down to the second place team. The entry fee will not drop to any teams below second place. 

• The entry fee waiver applies only to the team that won the event. The club cannot apply it towards a different team within the same club.
