In my art practice, I often focus on self investigation and personal experiences. Much of the work I create is deeply personal to me. However, I believe that the radical vulnerability of one allows another to feel seen and possibly safe enough to be vulnerable themselves. I believe art is an invaluable tool to bring serious and challenging topics to the surface. Although important, this is not arts only function. Art is also a place of play and experimentation. A place to express our internal landscape that can become a means of external connection. I am interested in the ways one's connection to the self can strengthen and benefit others. Through a stronger understanding and expression of myself I build more opportunity for connection with those around me and hope to provide proof that they can do the same. We do not have to be limited or silenced.
