From Micro To Macro in Mathematical Biology

The aim of this workshop is to bring together experts from the European community of mathematical biology to explore the dynamics of complex biological systems across multiple scales. The workshop will address various aspects of complex systems, combining mathematical modeling and analytical methods—such as techniques from kinetic theory, asymptotic and stability analysis, and pattern formation—with numerical approaches for simulating multi-agent, multi-scale systems. It seeks to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration, with particular emphasis on the mathematical methodologies and techniques used to investigate biological dynamics at different organizational levels.

Our speakers will present recent advances in mathematical biology, highlighting applications ranging from cell biology and collective migration to disease dynamics and other self-organized phenomena. The workshop will promote collaboration and the exchange of ideas, aiming to inspire new research directions and encourage innovative approaches to understanding the complexity of living systems.
