All walks start at 09:00 except if otherwise indicated under the date of the walk.

Walk duration is 3 to 4 hours. Allow 4 hours plus travelling and preparation time if you have something else planned after the walk.

16th Da Gama Park Forts and Noon Gun

Erika, Lesley, Maureen, Paul, Doris and Walter endured the ticks on the way to the forts and experienced the firing of the 9" Front Loader Cannon.

The route to the gun is new to this group.

A great EXHILARATING walk with Walter through the Dido Valley towards Da Gama's forts then afterwards viewing the noon gun above the Simons town harbour at the navy base. A definite worthwhile event masterminded by the naval experts. Slightly different to the noon gun on Signal hill.
