Preparing for Walks

Make sure that you are appropriately dressed, using the correct footwear and layers of clothes so that you neither overheat or get cold. Cape Town is well known to have all 4 seasons in one day. Bring snacks and water according to your requirements. It is advisable to have eaten before joining a walk so that you have fuel for the walk.

Participation in the Moonshine walks no longer need to be booked in advance since only the safer walks, that should be safe for a small group (because of location), will be scheduled from time to time. If a group of at least six walkers wish to do any of the other Moonshine walks, on an unscheduled full moon date, they should let us know at least a week before the full moon so that we can arrange the walk for that group.

On Moonshine walks; Bring a torch in case the moonlight is not bright enough to walk by. You need to pack you own supper. Bring any refreshments that you may need.
