This project required research of access to technology and it's barriers in a foreign country. Once information was gathered I collaborated with my classmate, Zachary Gantner-Bergonia, in order to compare and contrast our chosen countries. They chose Venezuela and I chose Chile.
90% of population uses internet
Public Parks with WiFi
Zero Digital Gap Plan
Starlink
40% of the population has internet access
Political parties charging for“inciting violence”
Government defunding infrastructure of the internet
During this project I learned about two different countries economic response post war. Chile was able to see growth and work to make technology more accessible whereas Venezuela withholds technology to control their citizens and sway them politically.
