For this project I was assigned to research relevant cybersecurity examples in the news. I chose ransomware and phishing scams. As well as, complete the CCBC Cybersecuity Training.
Ransomware and it's Impact on Sweden Liquor Store
Due to a ransomware attack on a a Swedish Logistical company citizens should be prepared to see empty shelves at the liquor store. This company, Skanlog, distributes alcohol beverages to the government run liquor stores. The lack of distribution is due to the pause in deliveries while the company resolves the issue. Also noted is the reformation of the National Cyber Security Centre in the near future. Security measures are necessary to government regulated systems when they posses control. Prevention comes with security departments for large companies regulating goods and services to citizens.
