We are part of the Izaak Walton League of America, a non-profit national conservation organization with a mission, "To conserve, maintain, protect and restore the soil, forest, water, and other national resources of the United States and other lands, to promote means and opportunities for the education of the public with respect to such resources and their enjoyment and wholesome utilization."

Established in January 1941, one of the ways the Lynchburg, Virginia Chapter has striven to fulfill the IWLA mission is through the development and maintenance of our Walton Park recreational facility. Located in Amherst County just north of Madison Heights, Walton Park covers 325 acres and includes a campground, swimming and fishing lakes, picnic areas, playgrounds, and shotgun, rifle, pistol, and archery ranges.

PARK CHAPTER ELECTION NOTICE
Park Chapter elections for the Board of Directors will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, in the Park Clubhouse.
In‑person voting only. Members must present a valid Park Chapter ID to receive a ballot.
Ballots will be issued beginning at 6:30 PM, and the election will close at 8:00 PM.

The Annual Meeting of the membership will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2025, beginning at 7:00 PM in the Park Clubhouse. Newly elected Board members will be sworn in, and the Park Budget for the upcoming year will be presented.

Open to the public $10 non-Members Free for IWLL members. This is a practice session designed to allow shooters to sharpen their skills on real match scenarios.
