Our class
Pupils enrolled in an IS are taught the core syllabus as well as specific provision enabling them to follow advanced classes taught in British English.
Throughout their schooling, pupils move naturally from one language to another and one culture to another and cross the border separating the two educational systems on a daily basis.
Our objectives
To learn not just to use a foreign language but to use a foreign language as a tool for learning.
To increase motivation for learning a foreign language or for learning other sujects through that language (CLIL).
To provide opportunities for using the foreign language in a practical and motivating context, while stimulating comprehension, production, and interaction in a natural way.
To exploit the children's mixed abilities and learning styles.
To develop the social skills or cooperation and taking turns.
To incorporate British culture and teaching methods within the French curriculum in a comprehensive manner.
Our Timetable
Pre-requisit
To be accepted into an SI pupils must submit an application.
They must also take an exam to show they have the necessary skills in the language of the section.
