Logging is also used to check on activity as a supervisor, if you are simply going in-game and on-duty and patrolling without engaging in any sort of events that can be logged you will be deemed inactive.

What is Supervisor of the Month, and what are it's perks?
Supervisor of the Month (SOTM) is voted upon all supervisors to pick one person from each of the three departments to withhold the title of "Supervisor of the Month" for the duration of that month. Being picked by your fellow supervisors means that your hard work has been recognized by a majority of them and that they would like you to have the chance at the title. The perks of SOTM are receiving the Supervisors of the Month role (with a role icon), access to HICOM Chat to be able to represent your department and bring new ideas to the table that your colleagues agree with, ability to recommend promotions for your department, ability to use any callsign you wish to use that is not taken by a fellow supervisor.

The monthly quota is 4 hours a month to not be deemed inactive but 9 hours is required for promotions. Failing to reach 9 hours will result in low chances of promotions each month.
