We are interested in exploring the magical realms of quantum materials where the observed properties cannot be explained without invoking quantum mechanics.
Our probe of choice is spectroscopic-imaging scanning tunneling microscopy (SI-STM) which is one of the most powerful techniques to study quantum matter. To let our creativity fly without limits, we will have a robust crystal growth program so that we can cook our own food and adjust the spice of quantum as desired with Mother Nature's kitchen of elements. We are also developing ab-initio calculation capabilities so that we have insights into what materials to grow and analyze the amazing data our SI-STM is going to produce.
As Newton said, in Science, we stand on the shoulders of giants. Thus we are always looking to collaborate in all our arms of research including SI-STM of interesting samples, sharing our own samples for complementary characterization especially bulk thermal and electrical transport and seeking more theoretical support for our research. Please contact our team and we are always happy to brainstorm ideas.
