Welcome to the Laboratory for Visualization of Quantum Materials! We create, manipulate and visualize quantum materials to manifest and reveal the magical realms of quantum physics. We employ ultra-low temperature scanning tunneling microscope to image the electronic states at an atomic level. We also grow single-crystal quantum materials, perform magnetotransport and magnetization experiments to reveal quantum phases and order, and use Density Functional Theory to model and predict quantum materials.
Dec. 15, 2025: Subarna's DFT collab work with Dr. Gohil Thakur at IISER Berhampur is accepted in ACS Omega. Congratulations to Subarna and all authors! We always look forward to solve problems with colleagues using DFT modeling.
Dec. 2025: STM is installed at the campus! Liquefier awaited for some cool physics. STM will bake for a month before we can run room T experiments.
Nov, 2025: Soumyojit's and LVQM's first paper gets accepted in JMCC! Congratulations Soumyojit and other co-authors!
Apr, 2025: PPMS and MPMS arrive at campus.
Mar. 6-7, 2025: Rahul gives an invited talk and Manas presents a poster at NCRAMP-2025.
