PTA organizes fundraisers to help run all of our wonderful PTA Plans, Activities and Events at LVH.
Our main fundraiser of the year is the Bubble Run. An outside vendor helps PTA coordinate and carry out this HUGE event. Students gather online monetary pledges/donations during this week-long fundraising drive, earning fun prizes as they go, which culminates with the Bubble Run event day where students run/walk on a track set up on campus for a set time period. The outside vendor supplies PTA with the complete online software/platform, free shirts for students who get a set amount of donations, reports/scripts/supplies/support/planning as needed throughout the program, all incentives/prizes (earned by individuals for both completing tasks and reaching set donation goals; classroom support and parties for top earnings; and event day prizes for top runners/laps from each grade) a kick-off assembly, daily character counts video lessons, and heads the Bubble Run event day. The vendor keeps a percentage of all pledges and all online card transaction fees are paid directly at checkout. Bubble Run profits help fund almost everything we plan for the year, including operations-based expenses and all of our general program-based expenses.
PTA coordinates two product-based fundraisers including Spirit Wear and Yearbooks, both serving as giveback fundraisers by giving PTA a small portion of every item sold. (these profits help cover operations costs)
Pizza Nights are coordinated for each grade level as beneficiary fundraisers to pay for classroom materials/supplies and enrichment to benefit all the students in the specific grade level. Families donate raffle prizes for the event night. Funds are raised by families purchasing meal/raffle tickets for the event and making flat donations. The net profit for each grade level is whatever is left after subtracting out the expenses for food/drinks for their grade levels' Pizza Night event (PTA provides all other needed supplies). Teachers decide what materials/supplies/enrichment are needed for their grade level and submit a request to PTA following strict PTA Guidelines/Procedures for reimbursements to use the net profit made from their grade levels' Pizza Night, as approved by PTA.
In addition, PTA also generates income that's NOT considered a fundraiser...
A portion of PTA Membership dues stays with our PTA unit to go towards operating costs
Book Fairs earn credits for the LVH Library to use to purchase books/materials/supplies
Carnival ticket/wristband fees help cover the cost of the Carnival itself (this includes everything needed to run the event as planned by the Carnival Committee each year such as prizes, decorations, misc. supplies, photo booth(s), face painters, tattoo/body art artists, balloon artists, inflatable slides, obstacle course(s), lights & DJ)
Food trucks at Carnival and Trunk or Treat give a small portion of their sales to PTA which serves as program service income to help pay for event costs that the vendor sells at.
PTA gets funding through individual and corporate donations, as well as qualified sponsorship payments
