Our PTA holds FOUR Association Meetings each year to conduct required PTA business in accordance with our Bylaws. Meetings are listed under the Events/Activities tab on the Master Calendar.
All are welcome to attend PTA Association Meetings. However, only current PTA members of our unit’s Association may make motions, participate in discussion, and vote. Anyone who joins PTA and pays the annual membership dues becomes a member of our Association.
The Association is the voting body of the PTA and responsible for approving and taking action on items such as:
Adopting Bylaws and Standing Rules
Adopting the annual programs, activities, and budget
Electing the Nominating Committee
Electing officers of the Association
Approving contracts, expenditures, and recommendations from the Executive Board
By attending Association Meetings, members can stay informed, provide input, and take part in the decision-making process. A quorum must be present in order to conduct business and take action, so member attendance is essential to ensure our PTA can function and carry out its work.
