Terms of Service
Effective 4th August 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Boonwiz ("we", "us"), covering the Lumi app and related services.
By using Lumi you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Entertainment only — please read this one
Lumi is for entertainment purposes only.
Astrology, tarot and the readings Lumi produces are not scientifically validated methods of predicting events, diagnosing conditions or determining facts. Readings are generated by software, including a large language model, and are not reviewed by a person before you see them.
Nothing in Lumi is:
medical, psychological or psychiatric advice — talk to a qualified clinician
legal advice — talk to a lawyer
financial or investment advice — talk to a licensed adviser
a prediction of what will actually happen to you or anyone else
Do not make significant decisions about your health, finances, relationships, career or safety based on a Lumi reading. You are responsible for your own choices.
If you are struggling, please talk to someone. In the US you can call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Lumi is not a crisis service and cannot help in an emergency.
2. Who can use Lumi
You must be at least 13. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission, particularly before making any purchase. By using Lumi you confirm you meet these requirements and that any information you give us is accurate.
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.
3. Your account
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in details secure. Tell us promptly at [CONTACT EMAIL] if you think someone else has accessed it.
You can sign in with email, Apple or Google. Those providers' own terms apply to the sign-in itself.
4. Subscriptions and payments

Auto-renewal — the important part
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel.
Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account at confirmation of purchase.
Your subscription renews at the same price for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
Cancel any time in your device's subscription settings — App Store or Play Store. You cannot cancel by emailing us, because we do not control the billing.
Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
Free trials
If you start a free trial, any unused portion is forfeited when you buy a subscription. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts automatically to a paid subscription at the price shown when you signed up.
Refunds
Purchases are processed by Apple and Google, and refunds are handled by them under their policies, not by us. We cannot issue refunds directly. If you have a problem, contact Apple or Google Support — and tell us at [CONTACT EMAIL] so we can help where we can.
Where local law gives you a statutory cancellation or withdrawal right, that right applies and is not affected by anything above.
Promotional pricing
We sometimes offer time-limited or personalised prices. When we show a countdown, the deadline is real — the offer genuinely ends then. When we compare prices, we compare against a price you could actually pay: for example, the annual plan against the cost of paying weekly for a year. We do not display invented "was" prices.
5. What you can and cannot do
You may use Lumi for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment.
You may not:
resell, sublicense or commercially redistribute readings or content from Lumi
copy, scrape or bulk-extract content, or reverse-engineer the app
use Lumi to harass anyone, or enter another person's details to build a profile of them without their agreement
attempt to bypass payment, unlock premium features without paying, or interfere with the service's security
use automated systems to access the service beyond normal app use
present Lumi's output as professional advice to other people
6. Content
Ours. The app, its design, text, the astrological engine and all Lumi branding belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app — not ownership of anything.
Third-party fonts, artwork and open-source components are used under their own licences, listed in the app under Settings → Third-party licences.
Yours. The information you enter stays yours. You grant us the licence needed to operate the service — to store it, process it, and send the relevant parts to our providers to generate your readings. See the Privacy Policy.
Shared cards. Images Lumi generates are yours to share. If you share one publicly you are responsible for what it says and who it is about.
7. Availability
We aim to keep Lumi running but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may stop supporting older app versions. Some features depend on third parties (Gemini, Google, RevenueCat); if they fail, parts of Lumi may be unavailable or degraded.
If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give reasonable notice and, where a paid subscription period remains, deal with it fairly.
8. Disclaimers
Lumi is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that any reading is accurate, that any prediction will come true, or that Lumi will produce any particular outcome in your life.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of Lumi.
Our total liability to you is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) $50.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of Lumi, your breach of these terms, or your infringement of someone else's rights — including any claim by a person whose details you entered without their agreement.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Lumi after that means you accept the new terms. If you do not accept them, stop using Lumi and cancel any subscription.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled by the courts of [JURISDICTION], unless your local consumer law entitles you to bring a claim where you live — in which case that right applies.
Please contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL] first. Most problems are resolved faster that way.
13. Apple-specific terms
These apply if you downloaded Lumi from the App Store:
This agreement is between you and us, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for Lumi or its content.
Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for Lumi.
If Lumi fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
Apple is not responsible for addressing claims relating to Lumi, including product liability, legal or regulatory non-compliance, or consumer protection claims.
Apple is not responsible for investigating or resolving third-party intellectual property claims relating to Lumi.
You confirm you are not in a country subject to a US embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and that you are not on a US prohibited-parties list.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
14. General
If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stands. Our not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer these terms; we may transfer them as part of a business sale or reorganisation. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us about Lumi.
