For my future, I, Lucas Nedrow, want to be an Electrician. Inspired by my Dad who works on the Electrical side I would like to take my future through the Electrical path since it's something that interests me, and has run through generations of my family.
I am taking Engineering at the Dr. James A. Forrest Career and Technology Center. I plan on in the future once I go into Apprenticeship School and doing a 5 year course that gets me more experience with wires and engineering. I am a very good writer. When I write essays or CER's etc, I do very well on them and my teachers are very surprised by my work on them. I am not a math expert but I have gone all the way up to Pre-Calculus in High School. I will make sure I have the right education and skills for Electrical Engineering.
I have participated in a lot of sports like (Soccer, Kickball, Dodgeball, Volleyball, and Sports in Gym classes during school.) I have learned how teamwork can make a huge impact on how well something can go with people on a team when you put all of your knowledge together. I also learned the importance of following directions by listening to my Soccer coaches, and going along with their plans and it ended up going great. Leadership is something I can do, if I know my team then I can make a great leader based on everyone’s strengths and weaknesses to achieve a goal. I play a lot of video games outside of school, that has enhanced my skills like good hand-eye coordination and social skills which I've also gotten from going outside with friends and making new friends. I have not been employed yet. When I turn 16 I plan on looking for a first job to get money for a car. I want a job that can make me more experienced in the workforce, and give me hardwork before I get into my full career. My plan after high school is to get into Apprenticeship School and work for money and experience. I want to involve myself in as many programs that can get me ready for a real job like being an Electrician. I don't plan on going into the military ever. It's something that I would never involve myself with. My future after high school I am going straight into Apprenticeship school and probably getting a job at BGE.
Once I get the job being an Electrician I will do my job as an electrician commercially. I want to try and make my career path as successful as possible. I think my impact on the world will be positive. Making a new way to live using Electrical Engineering sounds like a very impactful idea. For my career, I want to make a difference. That’s my plan as an Electrical Engineer.
