EXHIBIT SPACE EXPANSION

In 2019, the Lebanon Township Museum accepted a donation of an antique bobsled from the Polt family. This sled was used to transport children to the Changewater district school in  Lebanon Township in the 1920s. As the Museum itself is a former schoolhouse, an early school bus helps tell the story of our local educational system more completely.

As work began on the sled, it quickly became apparent that appropriate space for safe storage and display would be needed as well. Thanks to joint efforts of Squiers Point Historians and the Lebanon Township Historians Committee, the new outbuilding was completed in the summer of 2020

The Carriage Shed Museum Annex lives up to its name, expanding the amount of space available to create interactive, visually appealing and interesting permanent exhibits for the enjoyment and education of the public.
