Students of Ladyville Technical High School are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities throughout their school life. As such, students are welcomed to apply for the Student Leadership program, run by the School Counselor. Our student leadership program entails the posts of Prefect and Peer Helper.
Student Leadership allows students to assume responsibility for their school both on and off campus. Student leaders will demonstrate a willingness to help others, to listen empathetically, and to make sound decisions by guiding and influencing their peers positively for the growth of the school.
Returning students may apply for Student Leadership roles at the start of the school year. First form and transfer students are encouraged to apply during their second semester of their first year. This will allow teachers and staff time to get an idea of their reputation and character which is required when recommending a student to be a Prefect or a Peer Helper.
Specific Qualifications
Any students wishing to apply for the post of Prefect or Peer Helper must meet the following requirements:
Students must completely fill out and submit the appropriate application form for the post they wish to apply for before the deadline stated on the forms.
