Lab History & Evolution
The LSCS-Lab emerged from the Moroccan-American Studies Research Laboratory, which operated from 2016 to 2024. This predecessor laboratory established the foundation for cross-cultural research and international collaboration that continues today.
During a pivotal meeting on October 9, 2024, the decision was made to transition to the Language, Society and Culture Studies Lab (LSCS-Lab). This transformation represented a strategic response to the requirements of research in the current academic context, particularly recognizing the advantages offered by Artificial Intelligence to serve the research community and surrounding environment.
The newly formed lab represents a positive response to the university's plan for establishing thematic centers that promote scientific research in fields such as education and humanities. The lab's mission extends beyond traditional research to find solutions to current societal challenges across economic, social, educational, linguistic, artistic, and cultural domains.
Founded on the premise that academic research must be closely tied to development questions, the LSCS-Lab engages its three research teams in projects that relate the university to its surrounding environment, contributing to national development through scholarly inquiry and practical solutions.
