Our regular Shabbat Services take place at 8pm on Friday Evenings and 11am on Saturday Mornings. Rabbi Mark Solomon leads services from the Synagogue once a month and online services on a number of weekends.
Members of our community and visiting Rabbis lead services on weekends when Rabbi Mark Solomon is not in Leicester. If you wish to join our services, please email: secretary@lpjc.org.uk
If you wish to attend a service or event, are under 18 years of age, and will be unaccompanied by an adult, you must first email us to let us know you are coming. This is to fulfil our organisational safe-guarding responsibilities.
We don’t want this to put you off attending services in anyway. It is just about ensuring that we know you are attending a service and that our liaison person will greet you and be available during a service or event, should you have any queries or questions you wish to raise.
On Saturday 31st January, 2026, Revd. Dr Tom Wilson, Director of the St Philip's Centre, joined us as guest preacher, to give the divrei Torah.
The St. Philip’s Centre's aim is to enable people to learn to live well together, which it does by facilitating encounters that lead to greater mutual understanding, the development of trust and the possibility of co-operation on issues of common concern.
Tom has published over a dozen books on theology and religious studies, including two on Jewish-Christian relations. His current areas of work include community-based research, cohesion projects (especially work to develop Leicester as an intercultural city), theological education, pastoral supervision, leadership development, and support for those whose voices are not heard.
