As expected from an SCP group, Site Aurora has a wide cast of anomalous characters, from those which are somehow adored, those which are feared, and even those which are downright weird. 

Played SCPs, also referred to as Actors, are whitelisted players who roleplay as select SCPs as to allow for a more engaging or interesting experience, from how test are conducted to how major of a breach is occurring. All playable SCPs are playable options due to them either being too dangerous to be AI, it being possible to have a great roleplay experience for all if the anomaly is a player, or are simply playable because the community decided to make it so in a poll. All SCP Actors are well versed in the SCP they are playing as, and you will not be disappointed.

Non-Actor SCPs are the standard type of SCP that you will experience on Site Aurora and in various other SCP games. They aren't players for reasons of it being hard to script, it being unneeded for them to be players and or Actors may not even be online to allow roleplay to occur or may even be playing as another SCP. Most of these are less important SCPs or less deadly ones due to the popular ones, ones most dangerous if escaped and ones that would make for good roleplay simply being other players as to make things more fun for all.
