How to Volunteer

In order to volunteer at a PTA event or in a classroom, you will need to complete the district’s official volunteer paperwork online and submit to a background check. Follow the link here to complete that process - Bellingham Public School Online Volunteer Application.
If you are interested in volunteering in any capacity or have ideas for a new project/event, please reach out to the PTA at president@lowellschoolpta.org

Classroom teachers will send information out separately about volunteering opportunities inside your child's classroom.

UPCOMING VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES

Room Parents: Help coordinate communication and build connections among families in the class. Room Parent responsibilities include organizing class socials and parent meet-and-greets, coordinating teacher gifts for holidays and birthdays (such as student-made cards or flowers), and recruiting volunteers for classroom activities, school events, and field trips. They also send reminders and manage sign-up sheets, maintain an up-to-date parent contact list, assist coordination during Teacher Appreciation Week, and help facilitate communication between the PTA, teachers, and parents.
