When Alex Ortega was making his first EP, “Summer of ‘18 Tracks” he knew then that he wanted to make a full conceptual piece. It was at this moment that he started “For Everything” or as it was known then, “Evergreen.”
Growing inspiration from "Pet Sounds" by The Beach Boys, Alex envisioned a project from start to finish as a whole just like Brian Wilson. Alex wanted to create a whole world around this personal project. He wanted to show his worth, insecurities, and vulnerability. This genre blending project had been a lifetime goal for the young artist since his High School days. Keying in on the bands he grew up listening to while simultaneously emulating something new. This is "For Everything."
During the summer of 2018, Alex Ortega made his first EP, "Summer of '18 Tracks." This was a stepping stone since it was the first time Alex took his musical side seriously. This was a period of learning how to automate and process different computer programs sonically speaking and getting use to his gear he's been collecting for years.
Once a passion project, "Freckles & Glasses" is Alex Ortega's band where he writes, produces, and distributes all aspects.
