Today I just want to share with you one method I have applied to practice pronouncing English and acquiring vocabulary and expressions effectively

That is Shadowing!

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠?

Shadowing is where you listen to a native Vietnamese speaker and try to mimic them immediately. Think of it like singing along to a song, but with Vietnamese!

𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠:

=> 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: By mimicking native speakers, you learn their stress patterns, intonation, and how they connect sounds.

=> 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀: Shadowing forces you to focus intensely on the audio, helping you get used to the natural speaking pace.

=> 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: The more you shadow, the more fluent and confident you'll become in speaking Vietnamese.

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐰 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐲:

𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹s: Use Vietnamese songs, podcasts, movies, or audiobooks.

𝙄𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙖 𝙗𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙧, you can consider some Vietnamese youtube channels for learning Vietnamese. I leave the links in the comment below for you.

Try to practice sentences by sentence first with a slow pace. When you get used to saying it slowly then you can move to the next level.

𝙄𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙣 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙢𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙤𝙧 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙫𝙚, I highly recommend the channel Cháo Trắng (the videos are kinda dramatic but there are Vietnamese and English subtitles at the same time)

𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁: Before shadowing, listen once to understand the content. If available, read the transcript beforehand.

𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗼𝘄 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲-𝗯𝘆-𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: Listen to one sentence, pause, and try to repeat it immediately.

𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆: The more you shadow, the faster you'll improve.
