Orientation will be based on individual situations and the duration of the period will vary for each child. If there should be anything of concern after one (1) month's worth of observation, our teachers will bring forth the observations to the parent or guardian.
Any frequently disruptive behavior by a child, which interferes with the safety of the staff or children, or the staff’s performance or daily class activities, will be sufficient cause for administrative dismissal.
We accept children who are not fully potty trained.
*Wipes & Pull-ups need to be provided*
Diapers are not allowed.
The Center will assist in toileting needs, but
we do not potty train.
There is a Pull-up Change Fee for any child who needs assisting.
We use a positive approach to child guidance and discipline. Our emphasis is on safety, teaching the difference between right and wrong and how to resolve conflict through expression and communication. We do not associate discipline with food, physical or mental punishment.
When a child continues to misbehave after multiple verbal warnings, we may give the child time aside to separate from friends and learn the boundaries. “Time Out” minutes are generally equivalent to the age number of the child (i.e. A 3 year old will receive a 3 min. time out), and when finished, are accompanied with questioning, corrective guidance, and an encouraging word.
Withdrawal
Please complete and turn in the withdrawal form to give the school one (1) month’s notice before withdrawing your child; otherwise, you will be responsible for the next month’s tuition.
Administrative Dismissal
Any child who has consistent, frequently disruptive and unimproved behavior, which interferes with the safety of the staff or other children, or the staff’s performance or daily class activities, will be released and dismissed from the Center.
Please see our Parking Diagram and Policies to ensure the safety of all the children and families, as well as the School Staff and Property Owners.
Parents may schedule a conference at any time, and/or a teacher may request for a conference if there are any concerns.
Love A Keiki will try to accommodate special needs of individual children in order for the child to function optimally at our Center. For concerns regarding any provisions for your child, please see the Director.
It is our Center’s policy to not discriminate against persons with disabilities on the basis of disability, and to provide children and parents with disabilities an equal opportunity to participate in the Center’s programs and services in compliance with state law and the federal Americans with Disabilities Act.
Any child who arrives noticeably ill, with rash, or with fever shall not be admitted for that day. Should a child become ill while at school, he/she will be separated from the children and placed in a secluded area of the classroom until a parent or authorized person arrives to take the child home.
Fever
We call to send a child home when a fever develops and the thermometer reads 100.0°F. If a fever developed while at preschool, they will not be able to return until 24 hours from the time when the fever was read at 100.0°F.
i.e. 100.3°F at 1:30 pm = your child may not return until the next day at 1:30 pm.
