The Louisiana Anthropomorphic Association (LAAA) operates as a 501(c)3 Non Profit organization within the State of Louisiana.
LAAA has been organized to promote intersectional solidarity within the furry community of Louisiana and beyond through community organizing, fundraising, mutual aid, and the creation of safe spaces that includes members of the BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and other marginalized communities within the furry fandom. Furry community and fandom here is defined as individuals who engage in the enjoyment of anthropomorphic characters or who otherwise relate to these characters through art, storytelling, fursuits/costumed play, community engagement, and live events.
From the Northeast corner of Louisiana, Jaden has been involved with the Louisiana Furs community since 2007. They have organized and helped coordinate meets and events through out the years. They hope to use their business managerial skills to help organize and promote the LAAA in a positive fashion to further the growth of the Louisiana Furs community, along with bringing new events and opportunities to the community as a whole.
Rook Sillmane has been a community member of the Louisiana Furs since its early days in the New Orleans area. Headstrong and forward thinking, as well as having past event organization and planning skills, he brings insight to the inner workings of event planning to the LAAA table as well as his knowledge of keeping the paperwork and organization in check (as well as keeping Jaden in check lol).
Despite being a transplant from a far away land called Alabama, Charlie Wolf has made himself at home in the city of New Orleans among the local furry community. He juggles many roles outside the LAAA organization, but his specialties are working with Non Profits in the area for civil rights, humanitarian support and education. He also works as a DJ and Event organizer for his organization, NOLA FurBall Society, and is the Krewe Captain for the Krewe of Awoux.
