Louisiana Furs was officially founded in 2004 in Metairie, LA, a suburban area of New Orleans. Since then, the group has grown over the nearly two decades from the small beginnings as a small meet up at a house to multiple meets held by the awesome people in the state.

From here, you will realize you are not the only one in the state that is into the furry fandom and may be surprise that there may be other furs not too far from where you live! Many friendships have been made over the years and we have grown very close to the point of almost being one giant family. People may come and go, but those friendships can last a lifetime.
