About Me
Louisa Goss is a Lecturer on the BA (Hons) in Social Care programme in the School of Business and Humanities at Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT).
She is currently Chair of the Creativity and Innovation in Social Care (CISC) network and a founding member of the same group.
Her research interests include experiential learning, reflective practice, creativity and creative pedagogies for creative learning, participatory arts, and creativity, innovation and leadership.
In the Irish context, Louisa was project co-lead and investigator of the recent National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education funded project Fostering a Creative Social Care Community using CPD. Previously she was a collaborator in the The Tempest by William Shakespeare: An Exploration of Identity through Participatory Arts Practice, a documentary film and joint-project between DkIT Social Care, RehabCare Dundalk and Sharon McArdle, a lecturer in the School of Arts Education and Movement at DCU.
This teaching and learning and professional development e-Portfolio is guided by the National Professional Development Framework published by the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (NFTL) in 2016 and aligned to three of its five domains (National Forum, 2019) which are:
