Fall Practices, Clinics, and Specialty Sessions

General Information:

• Open to high school and middle school athletes (elementary school age kids need parents remain on site during practices)

• Prior experience not required

• Register online and express interest by filling out the interest form online seen below

• Practice sessions include technique instruction by skilled instructors

• Coaches Bill Marck (Lightridge HS) and Joel Elmquist (John Champe HS) previously coached together and bring many years of experience in terms of wrestling technique and instruction at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.  Both recognize the need for joint practice sessions for kids of all ages in addition to normally organized weight-lifting and high school practices that already take place in each high school.  Joint sessions allow diversity of wrestling partners, instruction, and approaches. 

Registration:

• Express interest and/or register online (without payment) by merely placing your name on the list ~ CLICK HERE

• Pay on the first day of arrival by cash, check, or Venmo

• A one-time attendance fee is only $20 while the regular cost for all fall seasons is only $40 

• USA Wrestling Insurance Cards are required for athletes (purchased by parents online) ~ Click Here

• Monday evenings 4:45-6:30 p.m. - Plus select Sundays - The overall schedule will be posted soon

• Locations:  Alternates between Lightridge and John Champe wrestling rooms (schedule to be posted soon)

• Note that normal hours for school are: 

  • middle schools (Brambleton, Mercer, Willard, Simpson) times are 8:30 a.m. to 3:18 pm, and 

  • high school times are 9:30 a.m. to 4:18 p.m.
