My Repertoire

The first song I taught myself when I started playing piano again using the method I created was “When I Was Your Man” by Bruno Mars. I then learned “Take Me to Church” by Hozier and “H.O.L.Y” by Florida Georgia Line. These three songs have basic chord progressions and weren’t that complicated for me to learn. As I got more confident in my method, I tackled the more challenging song “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen. After learning that, I decided to learn “The Maple Leaf Rag” by Scott Joplin, which was the song my dad used to play for me as a child that inspired me to start piano lessons in the first place. It’s by far the hardest piece I’ve ever learned but one of my all time favorites to play. I then learned “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You” by Michael Jackson, “Let It Be” by the Beatles, and “Somebody to Love” by Queen.
