Established in 1951, Pack 75 is the longest continuous Cub Scout Pack in Long Beach, California.
2024
Pack 75 officially became a Family Pack, opening membership up to girls in K-5th grade.
Changes to the Cub Scouting program meant a restructure of summertime awards, so Pack 75 stayed activie with a Capture the Flag event, Pack hike in Carbon Canyon Regional Park, a Concert in the Park, Conservation themed Family Campout, Fishing Rodeo, Pool & Pizza Party, Family Bike Ride and Bonfire.
Examples of activities included:
Year long events focused on the power of plants including making hydroponic garden starters, seed paper, compost jars, and more.
Glow in the Dark Pinewood Derby with special "family grudge match" races.
A special Taekwando class and expo for our annual Blue and Gold event.
Campouts in the Santa Barbara Zoo and at Camp Tahquitz and the Bethany Field.
2023
Pack 75 was the number one popcorn seller in all of Long Beach Area Council, reaching a new record of $47,003 in sales and earning the Pack a whale watching trip and Zorb ball event, in addition to fully funding all summer activities for 2024.
Pack 75's Christmas Float (the Christmas Kraken for the "Christmas by the Sea") was featured on the fron page of the Press Telegram.
Pack 75 was a Gold Level unit (top honor) in the Boy Scouts of America's 2023 Journey to Excellence Awards.
Pack 75 received the 2023 Summertime Pack Award for maintaining activities and events for our Scouts throughout the summer months. Summer activities included a family roller rink night, a trip to the Griffith Observatory for their Summer Star Party, dinner at the local Farmer's Market, cooling off at Sigler Splash Pad, ropes courses and rowing at the Huntington Beach Adventure Park, taking on new heights at the Hapik Climbing Gym, boat rides at the Sea Base, our annual pool and pizza party, and a beach bonfire.

Meeting athletes from the Special Olympics and participating in the Plane Pull event.
Cleaning up 108 pounds of trash from Long Beach city streets for the Scouts Trash the Trash Day.
Participating in the Grunion Run and Fishtival at the Cabrillo Aquarium.
Hiking Oak Canyon for Jamboree on the Trail.
Camping trips to Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center, Bethany Field, Camp Tahquitz and Lakeview Park.
2022
Pack 75 was the number one popcorn seller in all of Long Beach Area Council, generating $39,486 in sales, and earning our Scouts a number of awards and special activities including a private movie screening and a trip to the Get Air Trampoline Park.
Pack 75 was a Gold Level unit (top honor) in the Boy Scouts of America's 2022 Journey to Excellence Awards.
Pack 75 received the 2022 Summertime Pack Award for maintaining activities and events for our Scouts throughout the summer months.

An overnight stay on the Battleship USS Iowa.
Participation in the Long Beach City Nature Challenge, an international event motivating people around the world to find and document wildlife in their own cities.
Camping trips to Calico, Featherly Park, Camp Tahquitz and El Dorado Park.
2021
Pack 75 moved seamlessly between online and in-person activities as COVID restrictions fluctuated.

Pack 75 received the 2021 Summertime Pack Award for maintaining activities and events for our Scouts throughout the summer months.

STEM activities and robotics exploration with the Long Beach Poly Rabbotics Team.
Learning about archery and slingshots at the annual Cub-Boo-Ree.
Participation in the Council Family Adventure Day, visiting numerous "hidden gem" locations and activities throughout the Long Beach and Lakewood area.
2020
Pack 75 was a leader in pivoting to virtual meetings during COVID restrictions. We continued valued traditions like Pinewood Derby, Bears' Carnival, Thanksgiving Dinner and more by developing meeting kits for pick up and Zoom sessions that had the whole family engaged. Unlike others, Pack 75 actually grew significantly during this time!

Having a professional butler teach the Scouts about table manners and etiquette.
Participating in the Jamboree On The Internet where Scouts could interact with thousands of other Scouts from across the globe in live activities, recorded webinars, interactive chat rooms and a massive multi-player gaming experience.
Multiple virtual camping activities including Camp Quarantine and the Long Beach Area Council Camp-IN.
2019
Pack 75 was a Gold Level unit (top honor) in the Boy Scouts of America's 2019 Journey to Excellence Awards.
Pack 75 received the 2019 Summertime Pack Award for maintaining activities and events for our Scouts throughout the summer months.
Pack 75 members had a large presence at Long Beach Council's 2019 Centennial Camporall Event.
Pack 75 was a leading Popcorn Sales Fundraising Unit.

Overnight on the oldest active sailing ship, the Star Of India.
Learning to fold and fly paper airplanes with the Red Bull Paper Airplane World Champion.
Decorating lunch bags for Meals on Wheels.
Participating at Veteran's Day Activities at Mark Twain and Lindstrom Elementary Schools.
2018

Roar and Snore at the Santa Barbara Zoo.
"Drive In" Movie night where Scouts made cars out of carboard boxes and other craft supplies.
Camping at Sante Fe Damn Recreation Area and El Dorado Park.
Volunteering at the Lakewood Fun Run.
2017
Pack 75 earned the 2017 Gold Level "Journey To Excellence Award" from the Boy Scouts of America, the highest award given to a scouting unit!
Pack 75 was 1st in 2017 Popcorn Sales this season!
Pack 75 has a large presence at both Council camping trips.

2016
Even though we had “Small Pack” status, Pack 75 had one of the largest groups attend the 2016 Tahquitz Family Weekend and one of the largest units present for 2016 Cub-Boo-Ree this past year.
Pack 75 earned the 2016 Gold Level "Journey To Excellence Award" from the Boy Scouts of America, the highest award given to a scouting unit!
Pack 75 was 4th in the 2016 Popcorn Sales this season! 4th out of a combined 122 Long Beach Packs and Troops.
Pack 75 took 2nd Place Booth Activity in our Category at Scout-o-Rama for the second year in a row!

MAY 2016 CAMP TAHQUITZ: Overnight Camping for the entire family including Archery, BB Gun, hiking, crafts, water bottle rockets, campfires, roasting S'mores and an outdoor movie night under the stars.
APRIL 2016 DINO OVERNIGHT AT NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM: Sleepover Fun at the Museum with making fossils, dino scavenger hunt, dino tour and sleeping next to wild animals!
MARCH 2016 PINEWOOD DERBY: Race your home made car against other scouts.

OCTOBER 2015 CUB-BOO-REE: Weekend camping at Camp Firestone with archery, water bottle rockets, maze, Halloween Costume Contest, Camp Decoration Contest and movie night under the stars.
SEPT 2015 PATRIOTS DAY: Pack 75 is proud to participate in Lakewood's Annual Patriots Day Celebrations.
AUG 2015 LAKEWOOD COUNCIL MEETING: Lakewood City Council invites Pack 75 to perform Opening Flag Salute before monthly Council Meeting.
JUNE 2015 SCOUT-O-RAMA: Long Beach Council hosts the largest Scouting event of the year. Packs and Troops are on display with demonstrations, craft making, competitions, obstacles and fun. Pack 75 won an award for their Obstacle Booth in 2015!
MAR 2015 OVERNIGHT ON THE USS IOWA: Pack 75 Scouts and Families slept in bunk beds, ate in the mess hall, raised signal flags and took a two hour tour after hours through the historic battle ship.
