Meet Our LPE Board

Hello LPE Families, we wanted to take a moment to introduce you to your new 2022/2023 Foundation Board. We are all very excited to volunteer our time to make LPE as great as it can possibly be. We can’t do it without your help though. We hope you will join us on a Committee (or two or three) and volunteer your time to enhance your students LPE experience. Your dedication to our Foundation is what helps keep our fundraising successful and allows us to Fund programs like Music, Library and STEAM!

Welcome to 2022/2023!

Our new board is excited to continue to build our connection to LPE and its families. We know the last few years have been difficult, but our goal is community. We hope you will help us rebuild ours as we move forward from COVID and make LPE the amazing community it once was!

President

Devon Gaudet

I am very excited to be following in the footsteps of some amazing women and taking over as LPE Foundation President for the 2022/2023 school year. My husband Dylan and I have been at LPE since 2016 with our daughter Keegan, who is now going into 6th grade at Dana. I have 2 boys, Jaxon, going into 3rd grade and Finley into 1st grade here at LPE. When not spending time at school helping out, I work part time as an animal trainer for the Navy Marine Mammal Program where I have been for 20 years. There, I train dolphins and help out with our community outreach teaching ocean conservation and STEAM for students around San Diego. For fun my family loves to camp, take our labs to the beach, travel, spend lots of summer days and evenings at the beach, hit up a good padre game, and of course cart all the kids around to endless activities like baseball, swimming, soccer and tumbling. I absolutely love the LPE community and my goal this next year is to help rebuild that sense of community that we have been missing since COVID took us out of school. I want everyone to feel welcome and proud of what we have built, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything. dbozdlphn@gmail.com or lomaportal.school@gmail.com

Vice President

My family and I have lived in Point Loma since 2016 but only recently became a part of the Loma Portal Elementary community. After moving my older kids from a charter school, I was excited to embrace their neighborhood school and get involved in the local community.

I have 3 children: Adara, 9, Harlow, 6, and Eli, 2; and, my husband, Sean, works in defense, traveling most of the time.

Professionally, I have dabbled in several industries, including home design and aerospace, and currently support an education consulting business.

I spend most of my time volunteering and love that I gets to spend my days helping my community. I was heavily involved in our last school, serving on the foundation board there and helping wherever needed. Much of my volunteer work has been focused at our synagogue and my son’s preschool, but I am excited to continue giving my time and talent to the Loma Portal community. sarihartman@yahoo.com

I have lived in Point Loma for 10+ years with my husband Tim. We have three kids and 2 will be at Loma Portal Elementary for the 2022-2023 school year. Our son, Calvin, will be going into 2nd grade, Maeve will be in Kindergarten, and Quinn, our baby, is just 1 year old. Tim and I grew up in St Louis. I’m a speech therapist by training and have experience working in the school setting. For now, I fill my days with running a small business from home and chasing around my toddler. During my free time, I enjoy hiking, yoga, going to the beach with family and watching baseball. I am very excited to support Loma Portal Elementary this school year as secretary on the foundation board. I look forward to another full year of in-person school for the 2022-2023 school year and to meeting more LPE families. jessica.m.lawler@gmail.com.

I'm a San Diego native, grew up in the Poway area. My husband Andrew and I have two kids, Graham (7) and Leo (4). Graham started TK at LPE in 2019 and will be entering 2nd grade this fall. We've lived in the Loma Portal neighborhood since 2016 and enjoy walking to school most days! I've spent the last 15 years working in the financial services industry, primarily on the wealth management side. Our weekends are mostly spent at a baseball field; whether that be a little league game, or watching a Padres game at Petco. I love being active in our year-round sunshine. I enjoy yoga, running, playing tennis, and hiking. I'm excited to join this year's board as treasurer and I hope to meet more amazing families in our community! erint01@gmail.com
