Overall Agenda
For 2026, we are co-locating both LoDiSA and SOHOMA 2026 in Cambridge. This will help facilitate collaboration between both conferences and allow attendees to access two conferences with more keynotes, speakers and activities across the whole week.
SOHOMA - International Workshop on Service-Oriented, Holonic and Multi-Agent Manufacturing Systems for Industry of the Future
LoDiSA - Workshop on Low-Cost Digital Solutions for Industrial Automation
There are separate events and days allocated for SOHOMA and LoDiSA attendees, and activities available for both.
See the agenda diagram below for details. Please register and pay separately for the SOHOMA conference if you wish to attend these events.

LoDiSA 2026 will kick-off with a shared Industry Panel session, which will also celebrate 30 years of research at Cambridge in industrial automation, information and control. This will feature a series of industrial panel discussions and mini presentations centred around the three enduring themes of the Distributed Information and Automation Laboratory (DIAL) at the IfM in Cambridge:
· Intelligent automation
· Making the best use of information
· Dealing with change and disruption
The industrial panels will be followed by an evening buffet/reception.
This event is open to all delegates of LoDiSA 26, but for the purposes of catering we would be grateful if you could confirm your attendance by emailing Becky (dial-admin@eng.cam.ac.uk).
In the morning, we will have a keynote talk from a local industry expert. Kate Davies (Cap Air System) will discuss industry challenges.
The rest of the morning will be regular session papers (TBC).
Prof. Hodges is a Distinguished Professor in Computing and Digital Systems at Lancaster University. He will start the afternoon with a talk after Lunch.
The rest of the morning will be regular session papers (TBC).
The evening session will be a drinks reception and food to celebrate the offical end of the LoDiSA Workshop.
Join us this Friday Morning in the IfM. This workshop will aim to draw on challenges identified during the LoDiSA workshop and give participants a chance to explore collaboration opportunities among attendees. This will be facilitated by the LoDiSA organising committee.
We will set up discussion workshops in small groups to give participants a chance to meet researchers with similar interests.
If the weather holds in the afternoon, we are planning to arrange a group punting trip along the river in Cambridge. The details of this are TBC and we will send out more details closer to the date.
