The SIC provided 3 sets of each quantitative/nonverbal game/activity (considered high priority) serving all classes and grade levels for kids to learn the skills they need to know in fun new ways!
The teachers got a chance to learn these resources after school before introducing them to their students. This will help to increase testing scores at all learning levels. It is our hope to keep supplementing these materials in the future.

Reading incentives created
The Council realized there was a reading incentive program supported by the PTA for first grade, but not the rest of the school. Grades 2 - 5 were asked to come up with a reading incentive program as a grade level (so all 2nd graders would get the same rewards as their other classes, etc) and turn in for approval. The SIC provided each grade level with $500 to go towards buying the rewards for their programs. These are being implemented for 2nd semester for the 2024-2025 school year. This will incentivize kids to get their daily reading requirements done, and increase overall reading proficiency for the school. The following is the incentive plan submitted for 2nd grade. We plan to make this an annual program to fund going forward.

We added additional cabinetry, tools and furniture for functionality and spaces to get crafts done for their classrooms. No work room would be complete without a coffee bar, and of course we had to make it more fun and motivational to work in!
We sponsored 2 meals for the teachers/staff for the 2023/2024 school year to feed them on Collaborative Planning days so they could get off to trainings quickly!
A new microwave for the workroom. No more burnt food!
We sponsored a coffee truck in February 2024 so all the teachers/staff could start the day off right!
This amazing teacher changed from Kindergarten to 4th grade to keep class sizes manageable. We reimbursed her accreditation fees to get certified to do this!

We thank Whitney at the Sonic near Lexington High School for providing ice to our teachers and staff for their drinking enjoyment. It's the little things that make them smile!
