As we get our Big Picture direction at the district level, our school and SIC goals need to align with having students at all learning levels scoring at or above grade level. The district also wants all students to be well rounded members of the community. They want to accomplish this by implementing the characteristics in the Graduate Profile into the curriculum to include: Being Knowledgeable, Bring a Critical Thinker and Problem Solver, Being an Independent Learner, Being a Good Communicator, Being a Collaborator, Being Future Ready Literate, Being Personally and Socially Responsible, Being Kind and Being Resilient.
Lake Murray Elementary's school plan takes the District's big picture and breaks it down to the school level. There is a Graduate Profile theme to each month of the school year where students get to practice each of these skill sets on levels that makes sense for their age. The school as a whole are working on making hallways and bathrooms a quieter place to be when walking to and from related arts, lunch/recess, etc. Lastly, the school has goals to increase the scoring of all students by breaking them into 3 categories of learners: gifted/talented, those that are currently testing on grade level, and those that are currently testing below grade level.
SIC GOALS FOR 2024-2025
