Major: English Education
Welcome to my TPE portfolio! I am completing the teacher preparation program at Pacific Union College with a California Preliminary Single Subject Credential in English.
I believe in the secondary English classroom as a space of belonging for students to explore their own stories and those of others, develop their voices as writers and communicators, and find their literary tastes and interests to become life-long readers. My goals for students leaving my class are that they understand the worth of their perspectives and others' and that they feel valued and cared for by me as their teacher.
When not in the classroom, I can be found reading, working on an art or craft project, hiking, or spending quality time with friends over a good meal.
