From students:
Professor Hood is one of the best Professors I have had. She illustrated concepts very well, was super kind to everyone...Going to her class was agreat way to spend my day both from a learning perspective and just general enjoyment. Professor Hood also graded assignments so quickly. I received test grades back the class after taking it and paper grades within a week. Faster than any teacher I have ever had. The classroom activities were always super engaging and relevant to the material being taught. There was a group of students in the back (including myself) who were chatty and may have gotten distracted at times, but I felt that Professor Hood made sure we stayed on track/focused on the material, while also allowing us to feel free to be comfortable/informal in class.
Professor Hood was an EXCELLENT professor. She engaged the class and seemed to be genuinely passionate about what she was teaching.
Professor Hood made this course very engaging. The course expectations were extremely clear and everything was very organized. Out of class readings were relevant to the course and in–class activities were fun and engaging.
The class was very applicable to the real world, especially in future leadership roles at BC and beyond BC. There were so many fun and engaging class activities we did to get us involved.
So well organized. Also, it was clear how one topic connected to the next, and the class overall had great flow. The homework readings, assessments, videos, and assignments outside of class really complimented the course. Participation was encouraged, and it was clear that everyone in class felt comfortable sharing their thoughts. Also, the written tests were a great way to be able to apply concepts we learned instead of just memorizing facts.
