《雨夜花》創作於 1934 年，鄧雨賢作曲、周添旺作詞。
1938 年，《雨夜花》改編成軍歌《榮譽的軍伕》。
1940 年，《雨夜花》於汪精衛政權下改編成華語歌《夜雨花》由白光演唱。
1961 年，《雨夜花》安上國語歌詞，由外省歌星紫微演唱。
1993 年，《雨夜花》改編成廣東歌《四季歌》。作詞人林夕在雨傘運動後，移居臺灣並取得國籍。
所有唱過雨夜花的人，都有個回不去的家。
The Taiwanese song Rainy Night Flower was written in 1934, by TENG,YU-HSIEN and Chiu Thiam-ōng the lyrics.
In 1938, the song was covered into music for WWII soldiers in Japanese.
In 1940, the song was covered into music for China under the Wang Jingwei regime in WWII in Mandarin.
In 1961, the song was covered into another Mandarin version after CHIANG,KAI-SHEK retreated to Taiwan.
In 1993, the song was covered into a Cantonese version by singer Antony Huang and the lyricist Albert Leung. After the Umbrella Movement in 2014, Albert Leung migrated to Taiwan.
All who had sung Rainy Night Flower never returned to their motherland.
