Remember, it's called a challenge so you can step up in skill development - turn something you wouldn't normally turn, use a tool you don't normally use, discover new ways to do things. The challenge is against yourself - not against those who come along.
The challenge for November is to turn a toy.
No meeting in December, so, rather than a demo, let's do a Show and Tell - theme - give a second chance to a piece that may have otherwise gone into the firepit.
Over coffee, let's discuss the year to date, and what you'd like to see in 2027. Bring along all your ideas.
These images come from Pinterest. Search "turned wooden toys" for extra inspiration.
Please, remember to consider safety, dpeneding on the age group you're aiming at. Rattles for example, have size guidelines so kids can't swallow bits of them.
The November Meetup will be on the 27 November. 9:30 start. Can you please bring a camp chair, so we can have somewhere comfy to have a tea/coffee and a yarn. Please DM for address.
This will be the last Meetup for 2026.
