한연지 Yeonji Han

한연지는 아시아와 유럽을 횡단하며 경계와 오해, 몰이해의 공간을 확장하려는 (혹은 흩트리려는) 시도로 몸과 안무를 쓰고 있다. 작업의 주축은 즉흥적 안무 구성과 뒤틀리고 촉각적인 관찰. 몸 작업이 가진 여러 겹의 비물질성을 물질화하기 위해 이따금 책이나 편지를 만든다. 2018년 스위스에서 ‘dance collective nonstopillusion’을 창립하고 핵심 멤버로 활동 중이다. 국내외에서 다수의 공연, 레지던시 프로그램, 시각 예술 작업에 무용수, 안무가, 드라마투르기로 참여한 바 있다. 한국에서 발표한 주 작품으로 트랜스레터스 3부작의 우편 공연 ‘몽상가의 편지’(2021), 전시 ‘우물의 꿈’(2022), 공연 ‘편지는 없고’(2023)가 있다.

Yeonji Han dances and creates dance in an attempt to expand (or blur) the space of boundaries, misunderstanding, and incomprehension. Her main tools are improvised choreography and twisted, tactile observation. To materialise the multiple layers of the immateriality of her dance work, she occasionally creates handmade books and letters. She has been developing her artistry by working for more than 30 performances/residency programs/visual artworks as a dancer, choreographer, dramaturg, and internal observer throughout Germany, Switzerland, Italy, France, South Korea, Greece, and Singapore. Besides her own works, she continues artistic practices, researches, and staging with her dance collective nonstopillusion and her masters of dance and choreography.
