김원영 Wonyoung Kim

김원영은 법률가로서 국가인권위원회 등에서 일했다. 2019년경부터는 주로 글을 쓰고 공연을 하는 삶을 산다. 『실격당한 자들을 위한 변론』 『사이보그가 되다』(공저) 등의 논픽션을 썼고 〈사랑 및 우정에서의 차별금지 및 권리구제에 관한 법률〉 〈인정투쟁; 예술가 편〉 〈무용수-되기〉 등의 공연에 배우, 무용수로 출연했다. 제62회 한국출판문화상(저술, 교양부문), 2021 한국춤비평가협회 베스트 6상을 수상했다.

Wonyoung Kim worked as a lawyer for the National Human Rights Commission of Korea. He authored non-fiction books such as The Case Against the Disqualified and Becoming a Cyborg, and performed in plays and dances such as Love and Friendship Equality Act, The Recognition Struggle; The Artist's Version, and Becoming-dancer. He was awarded the Korea Publishing Culture Award at the 62nd ceremony and was chosen as one of the top six works of the year by the Korea Dance Critics Association in 2021.
