AbstractIn this collaborative keynote, McLellan, Barrett and Scobie will discuss how they came to work together through a shared appreciation of diverse and community economies as an interpretative framework for Māori economic empowerment. They will discuss their report on the transformative potential of Māori economies where they adapted core aspects of the diverse and community economies approach, such as the iceberg metaphor and ethical coordinates, into a wayfinding Māori economies metaphor. The wayfinding metaphor includes a set of four ethical coordinates that help navigate towards Māori diverse and community economies. It also includes four wayfinding challenges to maintaining and advancing Māori economic practices. These coordinates and challenges were surfaced during practical case studies. The rōpū (collective) will conclude by offering future pathways that take the possibilities of diverse and community economies for Indigenous self-determination seriously, including the need to remain attentive to colonial structural challenges.

Abstract(EN) In this session, Ana Inés Heras will begin by providing examples of situations in which generational breaks occur. Knowledge generation is thus dislocated and traverses different times and places; it is reconstituted in other places and moments, and recreated through different voices. Based on the narration of these situations, Ana will develop the notion of transgenerational and transgeographical learning, conceiving it as a shared potential for generating ethical frameworks in situated practices. Using this conceptual framework, Ana will describe examples of transgenerational and transgeographical knowledge generation within our Community and Diverse Economies Research Network. We will be invited to reflect in real time on the practices and ethical frameworks we co-create among diverse participants and to formulate questions that allow us to continue raising issues for furthering our common(s) interest in the near future.(ES) En esta sesión, Ana Inés Heras comenzará ofreciendo ejemplos de situaciones en las que se producen rupturas generacionales.
